Braves

As we all know, the Braves will try very hard to re-sign Josh Donaldson this offseason and will be one of the favorites to land the third baseman.

Everyone knows how much Donaldson loved his time in Atlanta, and it’s pretty clear from Twitter that most Braves fans loved him as well and want him back.

My worry is that most fans think it’s bring Donaldson back or bust this offseaon, and that shouldn’t be the case.

If the Braves aren’t able to bring Donaldson back because other teams are willing to overpay for him, them I hope Alex Anthopoulos does the smart thing and lets him go.

There are other ways the Braves can build a contender for 2020 without re-signing Josh Donaldson.

But I do think Atlanta will make a very solid effort and a serious attempt to bring him back.

Personally, I wouldn’t be willing to give Donaldson that third year, but I think the Braves will have to in order to get him.

My only hope is that they give him a two-year deal for $25 million a year with a third-year team option if they do sign him.
