In MLB’s first-ever vote for the All-MLB Team, the Atlanta Braves have five players on the ballot for the 2019 season.

The Atlanta Braves had a number of players put up exceptional numbers in 2019, and now they have another chance to be recognized for their greatness on the All-MLB Team.

It’s not very often that I think MLB comes up with a great idea, but I love this one.

A lot of times we wrongly judge a player’s greatness by All-Star appearances that can be rigged by stuffing the box from big fanbases.

But now with the All-MLB team, they narrow it down to a list of players who are very deserving, and it accounts for the entire season.

Since 50 percent of the vote comes from fans, there is still the chance that this becomes a popularity contest. But the other 50 percent comes from a panel of experts.

I hope they show the difference between the fan votes and expert votes.

However, there will be a first and second-team.

On the ballot for the Braves are first baseman Freddie Freeman, second baseman Ozzie Albies, third baseman Josh Donaldson, outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr., and pitcher Mike Soroka.

And this is not AL and NL specific, this is for the entire league.

Freeman has the best chance of being a First-Team selection, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Albies and Acuna make the second-team.

Donaldson has a tough road getting there at third base with Nolan Arenado, Alex Bregman, and Anthony Rendon on the list.

If there are five starting pitchers on each team, then Soroka has a good chance at making the second-team.

Gerrit Cole, Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg, and Justin Verlander should be near locks for the first-team — especially if the postseason is taken into consideration.

The top three in the outfield is nearly a lock as well with Mike Trout, Cody Bellinger, and Christian Yelich.

But Acuna is certainly among that next tier.

The Astros led the league with 10 candidates on the ballot, while the Braves were tied with four other teams for the fourth most candidates.
