Plenty of players were added to the free agency pool recently as the deadline to tender contracts to players recently passed. We look at who could be of interest to the Atlanta Braves.

The Atlanta Braves elected to let go of John Ryan Murphy, Rafael Ortega, and the wildly popular Charlie Culberson.

But the point here in this article is — what players that other teams decided to let walk could be of interest to the Atlanta Braves?

Most pundits and fans would agree that the team is in good shape, but still not a complete team.

It stands to reason the Atlanta Braves would still love to add a third baseman (and hopefully the same one they already had), an outfielder, a bench bat or two, and hopefully someone to take a little load off of Freddie Freeman, and who knows, maybe one more starting pitcher.

Another burning question many have wondered lately after the rash of free agent signings the Braves have already completed is, what exactly is payroll going to be for the 2020 season? It is obviously going to rise, but no one knows how much.

The payroll is almost already at what it was last year, and as we mentioned earlier, there is still work to be done for the front office.

These following players are all in positions of need to the Braves and could mostly be had on the cheap in baseball terms.

None of these players will excite the national media or garner the attention, but as we all know, a lot of times it is these kinds of moves that will help an organization raise the trophy at the end of the season.

So with that being said, let’s get to the names and make the case why they would be a fit on the Atlanta Braves.
