The Atlanta Braves front office and all the rest of baseball’s executives, agents, reporters, and even some players will all be in San Diego for the next few days for baseball’s annual winter meetings.

Despite the fact that some signings and trades have already taken place, the next few days are sure to wild and full of rumors. If you’re anything like me, you enjoy this event and look forward to it every year. The Atlanta Braves should also be included in most of those rumors.

Obviously Atlanta Braves general manager Alex Anthopolous has been extremely active thus far, and has already fulfilled many of the team’s needs. However, as most would agree, this team is not complete and the winter meetings may be the perfect time for that to come to fruition.

The red flag though, would have to be AA’s previous trips to the winter meetings, specifically since he has become general manager of the Atlanta Braves. He has actually not been overly active and in fact the Braves did not make a single move at last years meetings. Obviously though, if the right deal were to come along, he would jump on it and take advantage.

Third base, bench bats, maybe an outfielder, and — what has seemed to be the case over the last few years — pursuing an ace are what should be on the agenda.

Lastly, keep in mind that many moves made all the way up until January could possibly be the result of ground work made over the next few days.

So let’s take a look at all the options the Braves could endeavor in over the next few days, and that includes free agent signings, trades, and actually some players that the Braves may elect to move themselves.
