With all of the big free agents now off the board, we take a look at where the Atlanta Braves stack up against the rest of the National League.

While we certainly don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, our goals for 2020 go beyond the Atlanta Braves making the postseason — it’s time to start thinking World Series or bust.

I know that’s hard to do when you’re talking about a team that hasn’t advanced in the postseason in almost 20 years, but it’s time to put all of that behind us.

Most of the win projections that I’ve seen so far have the Atlanta Braves winning the NL East with around 91 wins after the Marcell Ozuna signing.

I tend to agree that Atlanta is the favorite to win the NL East for the third year in a row, and at the very least they should earn a Wild Card spot.

But the NL East will be one of the toughest divisions in all of baseball, and the Braves are just a couple of bad breaks from falling behind the others.

And despite Atlanta being the NL East favorites at this point on paper, you could make the argument that the current roster is not as good as the one in 2019.

Replacing Josh Donaldson with Ozuna is an obvious downgrade, but not as huge as some may think.

But at the same time, the bullpen is believed to be a major strength for Atlanta. At this point, you have to decide if the difference between Ozuna and Donaldson is bigger than the difference between the 2019 and 2020 bullpen.

But let’s take a look at some of the other contenders in the NL and compare them to the Braves as we’re less than a month away from Spring Training.
