At the center of the Atlanta Braves is the one constant the team has had for almost a full decade now…Freddie Freeman.

Freddie Freeman has been the one player the Atlanta Braves organization and the fans have all rallied around since Chipper Jones retired. He has been loyal to this team and has been the kind of player everyone falls in love with and can’t help but cheer for.

Originally drafted out in the second round of the 2007 draft, Freddie Freeman was quickly signed by the Atlanta Braves to come East from Southern California. Obviously a move that has worked out well for both parties.

Freeman, who has already been invited to play in four all star games, will be entering the 2020 season at the still young age of 30 years old. We may very well still see a better version of Freddie Freeman than what we have already seen. Certainly, that would be a boom for the entire Atlanta Braves organization.

We have questioned in the past if Freddie Freeman is on track for the hall of fame. Biased we are maybe, but most agreed that if he produces another five or six typical Freddie Freeman seasons, he has a strong case to be made.

I believe strongly that the Braves currently employ the best first baseman in the game, perhaps a case could be made for Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals or to a lesser degree Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Cubs, but to me, the answer is easy and being completely honest, it’s really not even worth a discussion.

So before we get into depth about how we think Freddie Freeman’s 2020 season will go, let’s take a look back at his 2019 season and recap, to steal from another famous player’s line, how he is the straw that stirs the drink. Obviously the drink here being the entire Atlanta Braves organization.
