Outlook for 2020
So what’s behind the chain wearing, joyful, team clown Ozzie Albies? He seems to be the freewill spirit of the team and someone who can keep the team loose when it’s the right time.
Behind that wall, though, is an extra special and hugely talented player who the Atlanta Braves are enjoying watching be successful after all the years of hearing his name being a big-time prospect.
Hopefully, Ozzie Albies can continue what he is doing, stay healthy, and make the 2020 season his best yet.
I do not think putting Albies’ name on the dark horse list to become the MVP is entirely out of the realm neither. But he has some stiff competition on his own team alone.
If he is able to take one more step further in his development, after all, he just turned 23, he could be the best second baseman in the game at this time next year.
Especially if Jose Altuve regresses a tiny bit since he supposedly will not know what pitch is coming this year.
Obviously the hope is to see Albies helmet fly off a ton of times as he is rounding first or second base this year. If we see that a lot, it goes without saying that the Atlanta Braves will be scoring a ton of runs.
