Braves: Max Fried Playing in Fortnite Charity Event for Jackie Robinson Foundation
On this Jackie Robinson Day, Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Max Fried will be participating in a charity event playing the game Fortnite.
The Atlanta Braves already have Luke Jackson playing in the Players League on MLB The Show (where he is currently 3-5) to help out the Boys & Girls Clubs in their local community. And now Max Fried will participate in video game play to help support the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
There weren’t a ton of details about this given, and the only reason I found out about it is through Twitter.

As I’m sure you all are aware, today is Jackie Robinson Day. I’m sure there will be a lot of Jackie Robinson content on TV and over the internet today to celebrate one of the greatest moments not just in baseball history, but American history.
It’s pretty cool that at a time where a lot of people are stuck at home, video games have become an avenue for people to connect and be entertained without the capability of real life entertainment available.
I’ve enjoyed some of the content from the Players League, and while I’m not big into Fortnite (never played or seen it played) I know it’s a very popular game and it will be fun for fans who do enjoy that game to see some of their favorite players playing.
The event starts at 6 p.m. ET and you can watch the gameplay at twitch.tv/alliedesports.com. If you’re a big Fortnite fan or just a big Max Fried fan, make sure you tune in to watch the Braves lefty.
He already has the best hair in the game and possibly the best curveball, let’s see if he’s also one of the best Fortnite gamers in the world.

Hopefully we see more events like this during the shutdown where fans can interact with players, find some entertainment to pass the time, and support good causes like the Jackie Robinson Foundation.
