The Atlanta Braves are involved in an important battle with the Los Angeles Dodgers and they need your help!

The Atlanta Braves traded for Dansby Swanson in December of 2015, not just because he was one of the best prospects in all of baseball, I’m convinced they wanted that hair to sway elegantly out from under an Atlanta Braves cap.

Dansby Swanson is currently in a heated race for the best hair in baseball with the Dodgers’ Dustin May. Rumors were swirling about whether or not the Dodgers were going to trade May, who was one of the top prospects in baseball at the time, at the trade deadline last season. Like the Braves, the Dodgers chose to stick with the style.

I cannot confirm this, but I can speculate that the Dodgers declined very good baseball offers because of his hair.

Why is this important?

1. It’s a baseball thing… sort of.

2. My wife once played fantasy baseball and drafted players solely on their good looks, and she placed third. So while they aren’t the most important thing, evidently looks do matter.

3. The Braves need to beat the Dodgers every chance they get.

And so, the battle of the best hair is ensuing right now. MLB Network on Sirius is in the final day of voting for best hair in baseball.

While I respect the marvelous mane of Dustin May, to me there’s no contest. The clear winner in this clash of head coverings has to be Dansby’s dandy hairdo.

My take: Dustin May’s hair looks like it is high maintenance to provide the facade of a low maintenance, flowing work of art. The problem for me is it is a little too Daniel Stern being electrocuted in Home Alone to beat the movie star hair of Dansby Swanson.

Not only did Dansby step up in a clutch role in Game 3 of the NLDS last season, but MLB.com’s CUT 4 submitted that Dansby should be permitted a free pass to run the bases without a helmet from that day forth.

I’m pretty sure that Alex Anthopoulos coaches him up on flinging that helmet off whilst he runs the bases. It’s branding baby! We must help the Braves win in any way they can at this time, especially when we get a chance to defeat the Dodgers.

Remember 2013! Remember 2018! Remember they stole Alex Wood and Luis Avilan from us! REMEMBER!

Now ride Braves’ fans, RIDE!  Thou must saddle up thy noble steed and wage a glorious battle of the Twitter! We must leave Dustin May’s luxurious locks laying in defeat. Dansby’s hair will reign supreme and so will the Braves. Now stands with me? Who stands with the Braves? Go and vote now!
