If the Atlanta Braves are going to win the 2020 World Series there are three things that have to happen. We break them down here.

No matter what you think of the 2020 season and whether any success will come with an asterisk, I’m still going to party like it’s 1999 if the Atlanta Braves are the final team standing.

And I think that’s how most fan bases will feel. If their team doesn’t win then it was just a stupid 60-game season that doesn’t mean anything other than it gave us something to watch during the quarantine.

But if your team wins it, you’ll forget all of that and rush out to buy (or go online and order) all the championship gear to rub it in the face of your rivals.

And I really think the Atlanta Braves have a great chance of winning the World Series in 2020.

In MLB.com’s latest power rankings they have the Braves ranked sixth (previously fifth — I’m not sure what’s changed to drop them).

But either way, they are certainly considered one of the best teams in baseball going into this shortened season with a chance to make a run in the end.

However, I don’t think they are considered one of the favorites. There seems to be some separation between them and the Yankees, Dodgers, Astros, and even the Twins.

And that’s mostly because there are still some question marks about this team going into the season.

We’ll take a look at three things that have to happen in 2020 — along with everyone else playing at their normal levels — for the Braves to win that piece of metal.
