Atlanta Braves sign a pitcher.

In one other bit of news, the Atlanta Braves signed Colman Huntley to a minor league deal.  Huntley is a righty relief pitcher who last pitched in college in 2016 for Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego,

Huntley’s Twitter page says he was working and the National Pitching Academy Southwest/Doxco, as an associate coach, NASM-CPT, NSCA CSCS, and rotational athlete training instructor.

The National Pitching Academy – Tom House Sports explains its mission as making good pitchers great.

". . .offer(s) advanced, scientifically proven instruction and training for baseball players, coaches, and organizations. We help pitchers increase velocity and functional strength by eliminating mechanical inefficiencies so players can reduce their risk of injuries and develop their skills."

The Academy page lists Huntley’s region as Texas instead of Southwest. David Lee from BravesProspects.com says Huntley played in the NBC Summer Baseball League.
