Atlanta Braves fans woke up to bad news on Tuesday and went to bed with bad news on Tuesday.

It was not a good day at all for the Atlanta Braves all around on Tuesday as Max Fried joined the laundry list of starting pitchers who has either been demoted or placed on the IL at this point in the season.

The game was pretty bad too as the Atlanta Braves fell to the Miami Marlins by a score of 8-0.

Braves starter Kyle Wright, who is still looking for his first career win, was bogged down by the long ball in this one as he allowed three Miami Marlins home runs over his four innings pitched.

With the way Miami Marlins pitcher Sixto Sanchez was dealing though, they would only need one of those to eventually win the game.

The Atlanta Braves hitters were in trance mode Tuesday as they could only muster up four hits in the entire game and two of them were by Freddie Freeman who stays scorching hot.

With the loss, the Atlanta Braves have now endured their first series loss to the Miami Marlins over the last 14 series. A team that the Atlanta Braves used as a rag doll in the 2019 season is back for revenge this year and is so far being successful at it.

It is without a doubt imperative that the Atlanta Braves figure it out and quickly. Granted, they will probably make the playoffs at the given pace, but the pitching has got to figure it out and quickly.

The Marlins are now 2.5 back and the Philadelphia Phillies are within a game and a half in the standings.

Atlanta desperately needs Ian Anderson to keep pitching sharp and get Cole Hamels and Max Fried back healthy.

Even then, it may not be enough but its a start.

So the same two teams will play Wednesday night and even though the Atlanta Braves can not win the series, as you can see by the standings, this is a crucial game for the Atlanta Braves to come out and win.

Next. Have hope still. dark

Hopefully the pitching and hitting will come out better than they did Tuesday.
