It was reported late Monday night that the 2021 MLB All-Star that was supposed to be played at the home of the Atlanta Braves will be moved to Colorado.

We already knew the Atlanta Braves were having the 2021 MLB All-Star game taken from them for something they couldn’t control.

Now we know who will be stealing that All-Star game away from them and it will be the Colorado Rockies.

Certainly no ill-will here towards the Rockies, but forgive me if I’m a little salty.

You can read more about my displeasure with MLB’s decision here.

But Buster Olney of ESPN was the first to report MLB’s decision to hold the 2021 MLB All-Star game in Colorado.

The reasoning for this is Colorado was already set to host the Midsummer Classic in the next few years so they had already begun preparations.

Milwaukee seemed like a logical place — actually, Atlanta seemed like the perfect place — to honor the legacy of Hank Aaron. But MLB couldn’t get that right either.

Obviously, I think this is just another terrible decision by MLB and I will not be watching the 2021 MLB All-Star game or any of it’s events.

I want to applaud Texas Governor Greg Abbott for his protest against MLB for them snubbing Atlanta for the All-Star Game. He declined to throw out the first pitch at the Rangers game and would not advocate for Arlington as a replacement.

And Arizona Diamondbacks owner Ken Kendrick said they would not throw their stadium in the mix to host the All-Star game out of respect to Atlanta. Of course, they have recently hosted one and weren’t a likely candidate, but it was still nice to hear an MLB owner take up for Atlanta.

This will likely be the last I write about the 2021 MLB All-Star game unless they announce that Atlanta will get another shot at it in a year or two — as they should.

As I mentioned, I will be boycotting the All-Star game this year and I wouldn’t be upset if the Braves or any other players did as well. Somebody has to speak up.
