Braves vs. Brewers Odds Today

The Atlanta Braves are a slight favorite according to our friends at the WynnBET Sportsbook.

  • Braves -115
  • Brewers +105

On the Run Line, it goes like this:

  • Braves -1.5 (+175)
  • Brewers +1.5 (-200)

The Over/Under point for total runs is 7.5 (Both the Over and Under bets are set at -110)

The spread is -1.5/+170 for Milwaukee and +1.5/-190 for Atlanta.

On the Money line the Braves are +114 and the Brewers -124, while the spread total on the game is 7.5.

Braves Pitcher Today:  Ian Anderson

A 3.58 ERA for the season is essentially what he did during the last month of the year, but Anderson will come in well-rested.  Opponents hit .205 against him in the second half, and his WHIP dropped as well.

Anderson has not nearly been as pitch-efficient as either Morton or Fried before him, but he has been able to get into (and beyond) the 6th inning in each of his last 3 starts.

Hopefully, having 11 days off allows that trend to continue.

Braves Starting Lineup

Atlanta is sticking with the same formula, despite strong head-to-head numbers posted in the past by Joc Pederson against Peralta:

  • SOLER – RF
  • FREEMAN – 1B
  • ALBIES – 2B
  • RILEY – 3B
  • DUVALL – CF
  • ROSARIO – LF
  • d’ARNAUD – C
  • SWANSON – SS
  • ANDERSON – P

Braves vs Brewers Prediction Today

The Braves have held Milwaukee to just 2 runs so far, but the Braves only have four.  Since returning from the injured list, Peralta has not been the Peralta of this first half of the season.

In August through September, his ERA has been 4.70+, though he’s still managed to strike out 40 in 36.1 innings during those months.

Expect Atlanta to try and work counts deep … and strike out a lot.

Peralta is #1 in the majors in whiffs on balls in the strike zone, but all it may take is a couple of squared-up pitches to provide enough runs to win… and he’s yielded 4 homers in the last month.

So let’s go out on a limb and call for each team to match their run output for the series… meaning that Atlanta wins 4-2.
