It has been mentioned before, but Braves country is very much a real thing. There is a number of reasons that lead to people become Braves fans. It could be you latched on to the team of the 90’s. It could be you were an out of market TBS kid who grew up with the Atlanta Braves constantly on your television. Or you could be like me, and grew up in the southeast were the only baseball apparel you see is Braves apparel.

I say all this to showcase how big and wide-ranged Braves country is. The Braves are easily a top five team in terms of popularity, right up there with the Yankees, Dodgers, and Cubs. And something really cool about Braves fandom is seeing some of the biggest celebrities in the world show their love for our baseball team. So let’s dive into a list of celebrity fans you may or may not have known root for our Atlanta Braves.

Jimmy Carter

The former President of the United States has been a lifelong Braves fan, no surprise considering he was born in Plains, Georgia. President Carter has been seen at Braves games numerous times throughout his life, often alongside his lovely wife Rosalyn Carter. Below is moment of the Carters being shown on the Braves kiss cam.

Big Boi

Legendary hip-hop group OutKast has always repped Atlanta with pride. Co-star of the group Big Boi has often been seen at Braves games, and performed several concerts at the ballpark throughout the years. In 2021 OutKast partnered up with Bleacher Report to release an ATLiens inspired baseball jersey celebrating the 25th anniversary of their hit album.

Michael Kelly

The prolific actor from hit show “House of Cards” is one of the biggest Braves fans in the world period. Although Kelly was born in Philadelphia, he was raised right in the heart of Braves country in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Kelly is such a big Braves fan he will even proudly wear his Braves gear in the enemy territory of Queens.

Jason Aldean

There are not many things that are bigger than Braves baseball in the south, but country music does have a strong argument for being one. Country music star Jason Aldean is a Georgia native and huge Atlanta Braves fan. Aldean talks about his fandom in this interview, saying he would often have someone relay the score of the Braves games between songs during his concerts.

Quavo

One of the stars from the Atlanta based rap group Migos, Quavo grew up a huge Braves fan. He has thrown out the first pitch before a playoff game, wore his Braves jersey during the celebrity all-star game, and even designed a custom hat honoring the Braves ‘95 World Series.

Elton John

Perhaps the most surprising Braves fan on this list, Elton John is a legendary Braves country member. The five-time Grammy award winning musician has been said to be a die hard fan by many across the industry. And at the peak of last season when the Braves and Mets were battling for the NL east title, Elton John blessed us with this beautiful video that was captured during one of his concerts.
