I'm 30 years old and a native son of the South. Born and raised just outside of Huntsville, Alabama, I grew up on Atlanta Braves baseball every night on TBS and became quickly tricked into thinking it was normal for my favorite team to make the playoffs every year (and lose in them most years, too). When I realized that my childhood dream of being the starting centerfielder for the Braves wasn't a likely career destination, I explored other options. Watching and writing about sports has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I graduated from college with a degree in education from Indiana University Kokomo in 2013, and moved to middle Tennessee shortly thereafter. Somewhere between lesson planning and teaching 4th graders, I still get to take part in this obsession of America's pastime.
