Minor League Notes –

Mike Minor was promoted from Double A Mississippi to Triple A Gwinnett this week. The former Vanderbilt pitcher is now just one step from the major leagues.

Edward Salcedo has worked out his visa problems and is headed to Rome to play with the Braves Low A affiliate. If you don’t know who Salcedo is he is the 18 year old shortstop from the Dominican Republic that the Braves gave a 1.6 million dollar signing bonus to. He had been playing in the Dominican Summer League. I plan on taking a trip to Rome to check him out in person in the near future.
